Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit ranianassar.com. It is written to describe what this website actually does — not a generic template.
This page is about the website only. The confidentiality of what you share during a therapy session is a separate and stricter matter, governed by professional practice rather than by this policy. If you have questions about clinical confidentiality, please ask directly before or during your first session.
Who we are
This website belongs to the private practice of Dr. Rania Nassar, Center St. Elie, Antelias, Lebanon. It is a small independent practice; there is no marketing department and no third-party data operation behind it.
What this website collects
Almost nothing. This site does not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, tracking scripts, or profiling tools of any kind. There is no contact form and no newsletter sign-up. You can read every page without submitting any personal information.
At the time of writing, this site sets no cookies of its own. If that changes — for example if a booking calendar is added later — this page will be updated to say so.
Like nearly all websites, the hosting server keeps routine access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps). These are used for security and troubleshooting, and are not used to identify or profile visitors.
If you contact us
You can reach the practice by WhatsApp or by telephone. Please read the following before sending anything sensitive.
WhatsApp. Messages are end-to-end encrypted in transit, meaning their content cannot be read by WhatsApp. However, WhatsApp is operated by Meta, and Meta processes associated information — such as your phone number and the fact and timing of your contact — under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. If you would prefer not to use a Meta service, please telephone instead.
Telephone. Calls are not recorded.
Whichever route you choose, please share only what is necessary to arrange an appointment. There is no need to describe your situation in detail before your first session, and it is safer not to.
Health information
Information about mental health is sensitive. Anything you send while arranging an appointment is treated as confidential, is seen only by Dr. Rania Nassar, and is never sold, shared for marketing, or passed to any third party without your explicit consent — except where disclosure is required by law or where there is a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else.
Links to other websites
This site links to Google Maps, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Once you follow one of those links you are on a service operated by another company, governed by its privacy policy rather than this one.
Reviews shown on this site are published by clients on Google. They are reproduced as written, and we do not add, alter, or remove them to change their meaning.
How long information is kept
Messages relating to appointments are kept only as long as needed to arrange and provide care, and are then deleted. Server access logs are rotated automatically by the host.
Your rights
You may ask what information the practice holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Requests are answered within a reasonable period. Please ask by telephone or WhatsApp using the details on the contact page.
Children
Where sessions involve a client under the age of 18, arrangements are made with a parent or legal guardian. This website is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will appear on this page with a new date at the top.
